Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation website

Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation website

The websites I have worked with recently use WordPress as an engine. For the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation (SHMF), it functions as a light content management system (CMS). Foundation’s content is bilingual so its previous static state made it hard to manage. It is not a huge site and it did not need membership access nor to serve up a vast amount documentation beyond its copy so it was not necessary to go to a full CMS.

The site uses qTranslate to manage the bilingual content and Suffusion as a framework along with several other plugins.

The design has been kept simple to put the text and art first. A bright colour scheme was chosen brighten the text and add punch.

This was a quick reno using the free Arras theme. The theme required minimal adjustment as it already had a layout that suited the sites content.  To see it in action gerrytaylor.ca
